Conflict of Interest Councilman Rivera mgr over Mineral Advisors

Councilman “Javelina” Rivera approves most all drill site agenda items…turns out he should have abstained…council members also manage the gas drilling funds…wow.

Oct 2014…update since the link below is no longer working, here is what Peyco currently has on their websites..

“Mineral Rights Leasing and Negotiations:
Jim Maibach and Larry Wallace work hand in hand representing clients needing to sign Barnett Shale gas leases with the gas and oil companies, together these two professionals have negotiated over 150 gas leases for companies located under the Barnett shale formation throughout North Texas. Additionally, we have handled gas pipeline easements, frac ponds, roadway access easements , valve sites and drill sites easements for our clients.”Screen shot 2014-10-07 at 10.10.45 AM

Well, well, well what’da know….besides (our former) Councilman Mel LeBlanc, I just found out that yet another member of our fine city council works indirectly for the natural gas industry.  This is a definite conflict of interest!

Arlington Councilman Robert Rivera a landman? No wonder he votes in favor of most all these drill sites! What good is this joker-he can’t even speak write in Spanish…but he’ll give you good advice on your (ponzi-scheme prone) minerals.  10/14/ update link no longer works that ties his name to the mineral advisor section …Too bad he has a controlling vote on if you get a gaswell in your backyard!

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
