Adult Day Care and Camp Thurman Near DFW Midstream Compressor Station Emission Events

Dead Post Oaks conveniently downwind to previously recorded by TCEQ VOC’s at  almost 1.2 million ppb !

Hearty Post Oaks have been surviving this drought….note in this video how trees to the east and west are providing the visual coverage of the ugly and dangerous DFW Midstream Compressor Station. I have reports of lung ailments from residents north (down wind of the site).  In the video the compressor station is behind the businesses and also behind the restaurant Campo Verde.

All summer (s) long children and teens have also been downwind to this compressor station and I am asking the nurse (or any parents of Camp Thurman students reading this) to share with us any unusual health effects that have changed or increased since this compressor station has moved into the area. These can be reported to me in confidentiality or anonymously, and I will pass this along to the UTA nurses who are gathering this data.

Per a conversation with Melinda Britian, a city representative for Dalworthington Gardens, a vapor recovery system on one of the dump valves has been promised. Also they have been asked or offered to have twice daily inspections.

Last month in July, they admitted to venting glycol directly into the atmosphere when changing filters. Folks were complaining of a sickly sweet odor (benzene?) and so they were promised that filters will now be charcoal to help with the odors.

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
