Sundrop bio fuels gets fracked in Louisiana by Chesapeake

Colorado-firm-hopes-make-green-gasoline-Rapides Chesapeake’s only investment goal here is to create demand for natural gas because they have a gas glut. The inventor of this green gasoline, Mr Jenson, entitled his patent “Solar Reduction of Co2” but Chesapeake took the green out of the invention by swapping out the solar energy and using natural gas for the heat source. This is going backwards by using the old school, dirty fossil fuel of natural gas as the extraction process is very dirty.  Mirrors were supposed to be used to reflect the sun to heat and “crack” carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide and oxygen.  In taking the carbon monoxide and adding 1/2 gallon of water, it only yields one gallon of gasoline.

WATER is quickly becoming a commodity! We are going backwards in the scheme of intensive water use and water risk of contamination involved in fracking to get natural gas. Each gas well uses 3-5 million gallons of water that will need to be disposed of as hazardous waste and will never be returned to the water chain.

The using of the forest, deforestation, is wrong. Don’t drain the life blood out of Louisiana…we need our forests-they are our planet’s lungs. We need to step back and look at the bigger picture here.  So a few people make good salaries and some other minimum wage jobs happen, but the real fracking costs will be in environmental impacts, health effects, and in property devaluation for those with gas wells in their backyards.

Biofuels are not green when natural gas is being used. An even bigger mistake for the investors in this refinery will be when the price of natural gas goes up after we sign those 20 year contracts to export NG to China. (  especially if the over inflated NG production numbers start to show themselves as horizontal drilling production drops as much as 70 percent in the first one or two years.

Sundrop Biofuels will NOT be cost-effective if the price of NG goes up because we cannot meet production numbers we promised to China. I imagine Mr Jenson never intended for a fossil fuel to replace his solar, renewable, invention.

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
