Towns with Drinking Water Intelligence – a list of Local Actions Against Fracking

Yes I’m pissed off and mad as hell.

Yes I’m pissed off and mad as hell cause Arlington (gasland) TX is not on this list!

If you did a keyword search and my similar tag words brought you here and think it is unrelated & not applicable to you…wrong….WE ALL DRINK WATER & need to read this and contact our local, state, & federal leaders for action or vote them out…or have a civil uprising to fight for our very lives at some point.

Contamination of an acquifer can travel about a mile per year and they are fracking us into oblivion if we let them (corporations & bought out politicions).

The president said to safely drill, but until someone invents error proof humans and rot proof cement casings …it can’t be done safely.

update….I emailed the mayor of Pantego, who is on well water, to alert them of the recent UTA Tex Well water study results…which shows the closer U R to drilling (< 1.9 miles), that unsafe arsenic and other contaminents have been found in the Barnett Shale.

Here is a list of towns from Food and Water Watch that list those leaders and citizens that worked to be proactive in protecting drinking water and air quality from Big Oil & Gas…..obviously in the pic above I show some slight emotion that Arlington TX did not make the list.

In Ft Worth, Mansfield, Pantego, Dalworthington Gardens, Grand Prairie, Arlington, and other Barnett Shale towns, Home Rule did not work because the leaders did NOT do their due diligence by ordering an Environmental Health Impact Study PRIOR to allowing the new concept of Urban Drilling.

A recent example of Arlington’s head in the sand is that Dr/Mayor Cluck’s proclamation on our city blog post failed to mention about a prior drilling related surface spill into our Lake Arlington and how laterals have been drilled UNDER our water supply.   I tweeted.. “R U #fracking kidding me? #Arlington has 100 laterals #drilled under our drinkn water supply. http://myarlingtontx.com/2013/05/09/mayor-cluck-proclaims-drinking-water-week/

Thirsty now?

For an added “playful” chuckle, note the nick name
kaBOOM Arlington gasland Texas. Here is an except from the city blog….

“Arlington, earned recognition from national non-profit KaBOOM! as 2013 Playful City USA communities for their efforts to give children the childhood they deserve by providing ample opportunities for play.

    kaBOOM, how appropriate

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
