Sometimes you get a glimpse behind the brown privacy screens of these drill sites and wonder, what kind of equipment or rig is that and what stage (types of pollution) of mining/natural gas production am I being exposed to?
Well you can go (waste your time) at the City of Arlington Gas Well update page .
UPDATE 12/14 THE CITY OF ARLINGTON HAS A NEW WEBSITE AND THE GAS WELL BY OPERATOR INFO HAS BEEN DOWN FOR SIX MONTHS?…

Ms. Feil,
We are having to rebuild the gas well webpage since we updated the City’s website. It’s taking some time since we’re having to use an entirely different web program from the one the page was initially created with. It should completed by the end of next month.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

END UPDATE
Now if (and this is a really big IF) that city web page is actually updated, all they post is the name of the phase the padsite is in such as… drilling, fracking, flowback, & production. Note I have never seen them post the “flowback” stage..I don’t believe they even know this information. The quiet of the drill site can be the most dangerous (even deadly) while wafting white clouds of BTEX out of the OPEN HATCH flowback tanks.
This twitter page, “North American Drill”, really kept folks informed with pictures, weather conditions, and even a live broadcast.
What we REALLY need to keep our family informed about whether to evacuate or not is…
1) you will be need to dig up your own info for wind speed/direction. Note if there is little wind and you are close….hydrocarbons and chemical odors can build up. If the winds are blowing your way then..
2) go spy on the site – yes that means getting close to it to see what equipment is on the padsite-yep I know thats not recommended-I was too chicken to do this for the Cowboys Stadium padsite by my home.
3) Then you need a good understanding of what each phase’s air pollution can be emitting.
Only then will you have enough info to take action to stay or go from your home, work, or school – where ever the nearest padsite is to ya.
The city and Chesapeake never worked with me on this information and now my husband has cancer and my teen has biomarkers for an adrenal tumor…jus’ sayn’.
