I just blogged about a murder/suicide near here and how the city just approved more homes to be built too close to this drill site.
In looking at the wind direction for that time frame (9:20 dispatch), it was coming from the southeast when they dispatched to that drill site. This home is to the northwest which makes them downwind.
Here is a cut and paste of the City of Arlington report to TCEQ…I’m glad they are now putting these on the internet-I’ve been asking for this because Open Records are very expensive sometimes…the city does need to put out on the internet the older reports too though. I was very delightfully surprised that they DID find a violation because this isn’t the drillers first oopsie in Arlington albeit the first one for Edge Resources in Arlington. This shows compelling evidence that the home was at some point exactly downwind to these emissions… and the fallout.
8/27/2013 to TCEQ/RRC:
On 8/27/2013 the Arlington Fire Department was dispatched to the Overcoming Faith Drill site as a result of a citizen complaint. However, well 6H did not properly shut-in. The situation was brought under control with manual isolation of the wells. A site investigation is underway to identify the root cause of the incident.
Detailed Violation Description:
