UT Arlington Carrizo gas wells sold off to …??

UTA on campus drillsite with 22 gaswells and two lift compressors
UPDATE 6/2017 Now is owned by Saddle…
In the news recently, Carrizo has sold their Barnett Shale assets for $268 million to an (unnamed) affialiate of EnerVest Ltd.  See more pictures below of the Arlington Carrizo drill sites.
9/10/13 update…

Houston-based EV Energy Partners and its affiliate EnerVest Ltd. are adding to their Barnett Shale holdings with the purchase of an 81 percent interest in properties being sold by Carrizo Oil & Gas.

People near UTArlington may not know that our city gas well staff does not inspect the Carrizo drill site (pictured above) on UTA’s campus. This is because it is a state entity..we also don’t include it in any considerations of other proposed nearby wells…its like it doesn’t exist on their books. But the nearby churche$ know it$ there cau$e it$ been such a royal(ty) ble$$ing ……. minus the toxins.
Now its been sold off to a new driller – the last new driller we allowed the privledge to urban drill here had an emission event last Friday.
That means the Carrizo drill site across from Hutchinson Junior High (who also had an emission event-actually two) will also be owned by the EnerVest Ltd affialiate too.
Just what does the Ltd stand for? http://smallbusiness.chron.com/ltd-after-business-name-stand-for-3276.html says…“Ltd. is the abbreviation for limited. The term is designed to advise that the shareholders or owners of this type of enterprise is limited. Specifically, the shareholders or owners have limited responsibility for the debts and obligations of the business enterprise, according to InvestorWords.com.”

Subject: Meet the new owners of the UTA gaswells….
They have not updated their recent acquitions. This story is about two days old now.
The Houston Chronicle reported that Carrizo sold the Barnett Shale assets to (an affiliate of) EnerVest Ltd.
I noticed there is no email address on their (simple, unimpressive) website.
The last time I blogged on the UTA site it was good information about how much their highest readings of Benzene have improved by about 70%.
There needs to be a way to be able to keep close tabs on this padsite…any ideas?

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog. 1. Sandra DenBraber says:

When drilling first began at the UTA site I asked Diane Patrick to help change drilling laws so that if a state property was inside a city it must follow the city ordinances on drilling. I kept pushing for that change to no avail.
