Green Day FAIL in the SHALE for 17 yr old fan … RIP 7/5/2014

Screen shot 2014-07-14 at 11.51.32 AMScreen shot 2014-07-14 at 10.14.40 AM The red ballon (all snuggled in the Barnett SHALE hell of drilling for fossil fuels) is where 17 yr old Christian Ibarra lived. The Glenrose Times reported that he had Myelodysplastic Syndrone-aka bone marrow failure.  Benzene is linked to blood & bone marrow disorders…..even at low doses

Christian loved Green Day (the band)….there even was a youtube video attempt to have him meet them in person…but it never happened…and it never will.

And so another young life in the shale to add to my “young dead” list.

Below is the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power plant that is east of his home..I have blogged about the fracking risk there to the damScreen shot 2014-07-14 at 10.38.30 AM Screen shot 2014-07-14 at 10.38.53 AMLearn more about Benzene levels here…basicly low and high doses are harmful….no exposure should be our goal especially since we have nonfossil fuel energy sources we can tap.

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
