When dead animals showed up at a Texas Drill Site in Stephenville TX

This is an audio recorded conversation with a representative from the Kilgore (RRC) Rail Road Commission back on Sept 6, 2012. The RRC is the Texas entity that regulates the fossil fuel industry…today you probably won’t find them making “ANY” statements as I have read that they have been told not to communicate with the media.

Originally I was worried that the spewing gaswell was one of the infamous ones reported as being fracked near the dam – that holds the water – that cools the reactors of the Comanche Luminant Nuclear Power Plant. Heaven forbid that one blows!

Here is a copy of the original skytruth alert…too bad that website has been disabled for most of this year….tisk tisk tisk.

This is a Sky Truth alert:

Report Description

The audio claiming “drill site=dumping ground for dead animals” raises more questions like….

1) Who would shoot (such a variety of) animals and then dump them “there”?

2) Why did the RRC only name pigs and buzzards, yet the skytruth report named other animals?

Why did the RRC not take pictures?

If Cody …

were to go to his employers padsite and find dead animals without bullet holes …would they have ordered an autopsy to see if the gas killed them? (PROBABLY NOT)

The world may never know….until it happens again and we beat them to the kill and grab the dead animal(s)/human(s)? and get an autopsy.

Here is the RRC report on this…How can an “inactive well that is equipped to produce” have an emission event?

And here are some pictures from Google Earth using the coordinates that from the RRC report where a nice home is south west of the padsite. Between the padsite and the home is what appears to be a communications tower (wonder who paid for that?).

On a related note….there was no actual active drilling near where the Wilfong cows died but they were by old wells not even on the RRC records…..and because they reached out to me years ago but now are silent when I try to follow up…I bet they were paid off and have signed a nondisclosure agreement.

In Love County Oklahoma back in 2012….a strange smell accompanied by a bunch of dead animals raised a similar fracking question…http://www.kxii.com/home/headlines/Strange_smell_reported_in_Love_County_140097573.html#.T0aUZCMIFFI.facebook  …

“One man said he questions whether a strange smell is to blame for killing four of his animals in the past day.

Michael Clouse said he has lost a guinea pig, boxer dog, and a horse in the past day, and that another horse is sick.

“My wife said it smelled like gas in the house and had a rotten smell to it like rotten eggs,” Clouse said about a smell on Wednesday morning. “I went out to feed the dog in the back pen and it was dead.”

Firefighters and deputies came to check on the house near Highway 32 a few miles west of Marietta around 5 p.m. Wednesday, but say there was no strange smell.

“At this point in time, we have no idea and it’s still under investigation,” Love County Sheriff Joe Russell said.

Workers from a new drilling rig next door and Oklahoma Natural Gas also came out, but Russell said they too came up empty. Clouse said he uses electricity in his home, but no gas”.

In following up with the news media they said there probably wasn’t any follow up to this story and recently that …..

“The story is six years old. Also, the sheriff quoted in the story was arrested and resigned because of drug and corruption charges”.

Sadly there was a deceased 17 year old resident that I blogged about that lives near some drill sites in the area of the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant.

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
