…if it looks like a spill and quacks like a duck, don’t let it swim there!

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.37.52 AM

….inconvenient brine spill or grass fire remnants?

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.35.15 AM

Bear Creek to the west…look at all the impoundments!

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.39.48 AM

frack sand operation or home building site nearby may explain the need for this-whatever it is…yet another water impoundment….

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.51.09 AM

...more home building in this already too taxed airshed…next to a sub station…bawh!

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.32.13 AM

…this is representative of the American landscape now…NOT PROUD to be from the land of the scortched and water depraved

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 12.25.53 PM

...in the bottom left side of the pic (west of stained area) is the Grapevine Cotten Belt Compressor Station…

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 12.24.55 PM

look at the red stains

a young paster in Grapevine died a few years ago and worked downwind from the airport…he liked to bike…Here is a map of the church..northwest of the airport…he was seemingly healthy up to the weekend he found out that the bruising and bleeding gums was a fast acting acute myeloid leukemia…he virtually died over the weekend.

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 12.28.08 PM

What the frack are those scabby looking holes?…its a frack plague! Here is the Google map to view close up

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 11.59.45 AM

…bottom right is a nice example of a tank battery BTEX spewing factory!

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 12.00.32 PM

water looks low in the (hopefully fresh) water impoundment

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.31.28 AM

by the green arrow is a…frack stain

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.32.42 AM

…nuthn’ 2 C here keep scrolling

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.37.07 AM

put some fracking solar panels here …duh!

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.38.05 AM

…expanded view of where more solar panels could go if we truly were of the land of the free and the brave….but our addiction to fossil fool fuels holds our future captive & barreling towards bleak…

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.41.44 AM

The blue cages at the City soccer field is to the east of the Tri Gas company tanks… on a “low to no” wind day…..fumes build up concentrations especially at dusk and dawn…and thats da’ fract jack.

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.42.55 AM

….of course the city wants to develop this land…who else would want to be here by all those multiple, cummulative, unstudied emissions that are not regulated which makes for a 1+1=5 synergistic toxic risk?

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.44.19 AM

South of the soccer field entrance is the City of Irving water pumping station thats also next to a golf course…I inquired and found that those tanks hold FRESH water…whew!…but what does the onsite airport tanks and the Tri Gas tanks hold?

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.52.15 AM

Gee whats behind these unidentified tanks near the Best Western Plus (see map here)…why its some gas wells and BTEX ladened, (toxic) produced water storage tanks. These tanks waft invisible hydrocarbons 24/7 to mix in the airshed with the jet fumes and chlorine related chemicals used in frack water treatments….all of these mixtures by the fast food restaurant and two hotels…wow….hope the winds don’t die down….that fracking poison mostly happens at night in our sleep in Texas…right?

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.52.50 AM

…expanded view of the gas well papsite behind those unidentifed (jet fuel?) storage tanks…one evening after karaoke in one of the airport hotels, I personally witnessed unbreathable jet fumes on my way to my car…last Sunday I was treated to my first massage therapy in Arlington and the nearby Arlington Airport fumes (yes there was a Cowboys game to be later that day) struck our lungs like lightening…second time I’ve been on that side of town and smelled that…

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.57.59 AM

LOOK to the west of the padsites its Great Wolf Lodge!! A destination to be…leary of taking your family?….The Barnett Shale “downwind area” is to be northwest of emission sources cause our winds predominantly blow from the south/southeast.

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.58.36 AM

A closer view of Great Wolf Lodge…and the storage tanks.

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.58.44 AM

Gee the Great Wolf Lodge has a gas well flanked to the northest too…..bummer

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 8.00.39 AM

no…this is not the Great Wolf lodge …..it is the Great Wolf Water Park & Convention Center just up the road a cowboy spit away.

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 8.00.55 AM

…yet another gas well padsite north to the Great Wolf waterpark …that airshed contains interstate vehicle emissions, & airport jet fumes. That “mix” blows to Flower Mound northwest of there…they have a breast cancer cluster too ya’ know……now you can’t NOT know as Calvin Tillman once said.

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.53.24 AM

notice the stained ground?…. or is something seeping up from it?

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.56.22 AM

padsite to the east & substation to the west of the (emissions from the) interstate….birds have been known to mass die flying over substations….happened twice in Arlington

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 8.00.03 AM

more stains

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.55.09 AM

I wonder how many times that frack fresh water pond was filled time and again during droughts no doubt…only to be injected as permanent polluted waste water that we hope never migrates to contaminate fresh water sources..whats left of them …Did you know that the drilling industry uses chlorine dioxide for its water treatments? What do you get when you add chlorine to methane plus the sun?…kaboom and probably hydrochloric acid vapors …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz03fpullyo

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 8.01.14 AM

The famous Bass Pro Shop, museum and hotel gets it…you know the nasty airshed thang….

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 8.04.42 AM

LEGOLAND at Grapevine Mills Mall gets it…

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.56.51 AM

the good thang about scortched earth is that it can’t catch a grass fire…woot woot

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.54.36 AM

What the sam heck is this guy fishing for from those gas wells?

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 7.54.07 AM

Screen shot 2014-09-09 at 8.07.27 AM…bye bye now….so glad our visitors get to take a stinking plane out of the BarnettShaleHell. We strive to be civilized people but live and breathe multiple, cummulative, unknown, unregulated, syngeristically toxic (?) emissions…long term…………..doesn’t sound too civilized to our red and white blood counts does it?

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog. Oh Joy, is this what Pittsburgh can look forward to?

  2. adam says:

Your green arrows are in containment basins affixed with flexible poly liner… they do not leak. The darker areas you point out are not thriving with life. Why? Because they are low, swampy areas. All airport gas infrastructure locations are monitored closely. By me. Thanks.
