2003-2014 Grand Prairie TX ARSENIC Water Report – oh BTW they use ground water sometimes

UTA Clear found a common contaminent when sampling ground water in drilling areas of  the Barnett Shale….Arsenic.

Here is the city link to see for yourselves…short story on Grand Prairie as it relates to Arsenic….no detects from 2003-2010….then wallah….in 2011 it shows up…then they don’t retest until 2014 and yep its still there! Whats not being told is the weighted time frame of the highest detect. How long did it stay at 9.21 ppb!!!!!!!!!! (note MCL=10 ppb). Then the frackers don’t test for two fracking more years and then in 2014 the highest was reported at 1.4 ppb…there now all better. NOT cause Arsenic is non-monotonic dose/response health effecting.

2014

Here is an article on nonmonotonic dose/response effects… http://www.ourstolenfuture.org/newscience/lowdose/nonmonotonic.htm

So too like in Benzene and radioactive particles, there is no safe, low, exposure levels to ARSENIC.

Just a reminder that endocrine disruption has been seen with certain hormones at parts per trillion in developing fetuses.

Our shale shot futures involve unknown, unregulated, multiple, cummulative (Arsenic is cummulative) poisons that R aimed at us with this insane build out of fracking.

Here is what the EPA has to say on filtering our Arsenic. Yes it is very expensive to filter this out, but yes it must be done.

Here is a 2012 study of Grand Prairie’s flowback and produced water clean up proposal bu this company that the mere mention of reusing the salts for the roads and other land fill items is very troubling.

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
