This humorous Video on gun control is making the social media rounds in Texas as we are into day two of legalized open carry via HB910. What is no laughing matter is the need for zero tolerance on accidental discharge. The parallel to the inherent risks of Fraccidents via Urban Drilling are more pronounced than ever when having open carry debates on social media. And so here is an action item..you can say in your own words or cut and paste….
ONLY call 911 if a drill site is threatening you with an odor invasion (or spill) likewise …..if U R out and about and see a gun that “feels” threatening…that is NOT the same thing and 911 should NOT be called unless someone is brandishing the weapon and is threatening.
In Texas nuisance law you have no grounds for legal action in “fearing” a legally operating entity’s potential to harm you. The other states that allow open carry probably had apprehensive folks be MADE to get used to seeing armed people walking around…just like we are being MADE to co-exist with gas wells (fearful and emotionally distraught or not)…in both cases a ZERO-tolerance with severe penalties for ACCIDENTS or FRACIDENTS is in order.…nothing less..!!!
Since HB40 prohibits banning fracking and the new open carry law, HB910, legalizes open carry (which both “carry” inherent accident risk) we need to demand protective NEW laws.
HB40 forces all Texas towns to embrace a frack-anywhere-mantra; our nuisance laws need to encompass more than just property owners nuisance rights.
An assault on ones senses can and have occurred at Urban Drill Sites near shopping centers, businesses, work places, schools, churches, parks, IN YOUR CAR (yes folks have reported being sickened and made confused while driving through plumes coming off drill sites near the roads).
Please contact your local, state & federal representatives to demand zero tolerance laws and to expand nuisance law to include off property, vehicle, and apartment dwellers nuisance assault on senses, thank you!
sounds horrible. I’m sure Florida is next.
