BOTH haven’t been ANIMAL studied for reproductive or carcinogenic harm.
What is (PEG) polyethylene glycol 3350? Cancer.dartmouth.edu says… “Polyethylene glycol 3350 is a laxative solution that increases the amount of water in the intestinal tract to stimulate bowel movements”.
Note I have boldfaced items of interest ….
Sciencelab MSDS sheet for polyethylene glycol 3350 ….yes that stuff you drink for your colonoscopy prep ….”Other Toxic Effects on Humans: Slightly hazardous in case of skin contact (irritant, permeator), of ingestion, of inhalation…..DSCL (EEC): R16- Explosive when mixed with oxidizing substances”.
When I turned 50 years old, I was given the Trilyte prep containing 420 g polyethylene glycol 3350 that had this warning: “Carcinogenesis, Mutagenesis, Impairment Of Fertility: Carcinogenic and reproductive studies with animals have not been performed“.
Funny how Haliburton N O W offers “CleanStim®” a food grade frack fluid that has a disclaimer…. “Intended Use – The CleanStim formulation is designed for use in hydraulic fracturing. Even though all the ingredients are acquired from food suppliers, the CleanStim fluid system should not be considered edible”.
What about those frackers NOT using CleanStim? Yep those secret ingredients found in FracFocus Chemical Disclosure Registry are still legally allowed to exist as proprietary.
Besides Miralax, Trilyte, Dulcolax and others, another brand name laxative for colonoscopy prep is called “MoviPrep” and this link says to tell your doctor before taking if you have:
- trouble swallowing;
- nausea or vomiting;
- a stomach disorder such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or slow digestion;
- kidney disease;
- a history of seizures;
- low levels of sodium in your blood;
- a history of bowel obstruction, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, or other chronic bowel disease;heart
- if you take any medications; or
- if you have recently used alcohol.
MoviPrep side effects/allergic reaction
- gagging, choking, severe stomach pain or bloating;
- no bowel movement within 2 hours after use;
- nausea, vomiting, trouble drinking liquids, headache, little or no urinating; or
- fever, sudden or severe stomach pain, severe diarrhea, rectal bleeding or bright red bowel movements.
Aside from tremors of PEG 3350, here is the link to the possible reported deaths info (sort by “outcome”). Those reported are 30 deaths out of 270 entries of possible adverse reactions since 2004. Statistically I think this is good news since there are so many colonoscopies done each year. But what are the long term HUMAN cancer risks if PEG 3350 was not even ANIMAL studied? Likewise in Urban Drilling there was no health & environmental impact study done. Even now nurses and doctors are saying drilling near people increases cancer risks and that more studies need to be done…Urban Drilling is still allowed by humans and animals risking our health & environment.
“US” should stand for “Under State my long term risks in living here”.
…about that colonoscopy prep juice PEG 3350 & Haliburton’s CleanStim Hydraulic Fracturing Fluid…one is approved as edible, the other should not…..but BOTH haven’t been ANIMAL studied for reproductive or carcinogenic harm.
