Coffee Toast & French Frys: the other fracking Acrylamide Carcinogen

UPDATE 5/6/16 GOING FRACKING BLIND? Diabetes and Acrylamide DON’T mix well! Take Vitamin E & Selenium to try to counteract the oxidation stresses.

I blogged earlier about cataracts in the shale…God help us SEE the light of UNfracked days.

If you live in the United States you should be concerned with what you can and cannot control in regards to carcinogenic exposures since 15 million Americans live within a mile from fracking…..At seventeen minutes into the EPA video 2015 teleconference on water risk from fracking, EPA says “Chemicals used at >65% of well sites include : methanol, hydrotreated light petroleum distillates, hydrochloric acid”

At nineteen minutes into the video, the multiple barriers to protect ground water have “issues”…..I’ll just leave you to imagine (happy hoping to safe water drinking).

On the CHINA front (Wuhan, Hubei, China )…somehow these folks think I’m a purchasing agent and so here’s the skinny on an email below in what THEY think the United States needs to buy from them to help us along in poisoning our water (of which two of those items is acrylamide related)……

BTW did U know that acrylamide causes cancer in lab animals?…Acrylamide is created (via the Maillard reaction)

When heat is added for example: to fry potatoes, your darker brown parts of toast, and when the coffee beans are roasted you get the Maillard effect.

per  this abstract in the International Journal of Opthalmology….“Acrylamide (ACR) (CH2=CHCONH2) is a widely used industrial chemical. It is a white, odorless, crystalline solid at room temperature. It has been reported to be present in plant material such as potatoes, carrots, radish, lettuce, Chinese cabbage, parsley, onions, spinach, and rice paddy in sugar and olives[1],[2]. It is found in carbohydrate-rich food prepared at high temperatures such as French fries and potato chips that are consumed by humans. Consumption of these foods may result in significant human exposure to ACR”.

So your kitchen and your nearby frack site is trying to poison you, but only YOU can control what you do in your kitchen. Here’s a substitute for potato chips recipe. YOU cannot control what happens in your NOT SO NEIGHBORLY backyard industrial sites (that our lovely state & city councils allowed).

In acrylonitrile (they like to coat the frack sand with that)…when it is heated to high temps IT creates Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN)…oh fun that our air testing equipment is probably missing measuring that due to limitations from the HCN high ioniZation potential!

At least below for the Glyoxal product (H2S scavenger) that China wants us to buy it is supposedly a safer, lower formaldehyde based product than Acrolein (which was found in exceedances in the $1,000.000 Ft Worth airshed frack study).

And so now that I brief you on how Lake Arlington PS-119 was ‘formaldehyde exceedance exposed” to the adjacent Quicksilver compressor station that is now owned by

only-god-knows-who by now….

here is the letter from my China friend “Snow”….

Dear Purchasing Manager,

As previously noted, chemicals perform many functions in a hydraulic fracturing job.
Although there are dozens to hundreds of chemicals which could be used as additives, there are a limited number

which are routinely used in hydraulic fracturing.  The below is a list of the chemicals used most often.
Any items interests, pls contact us freely!

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
