#TimeToCallOut

#WebOfDenial

On 7/12/16 on C-SPAN2 senators have come together pleading to the president and point out WHO the climate change deniers are.

Just in listening today I’ve heard the Democratic senators name those trying to obsufcate the science are :

ALEC,

Americans For Prosperity (who is funded by the KOCH Brothers),

The Heartland Institute,

Exxon Mobil,

Peabody Energy (coal),

George C Marshall Institute,

Phillip Morris,

Cato Institute,

The Thomas Jefferson Institute,

Charles G Koch Foundation,

Citizens For A sound Economy,

The Surrel (spelling?) Freedom Trust,

American Enterprise Institute,

Americans For Prosperity,

Global Climate Coalition,

Lexington Institute,

The Spirit of Enterprise,

Donors Trust Fund,

Donors Capital Fund,

John Locke Institute,

John Locke Foundation,

The Templeton Foundation,

Global Warming Policy Foundation,

James Madison Institute,

John William Pope Foundation,

Franklin Center,

Sam Adams Alliance,

some 800 lobbyists,

and more I may have missed from the prior days.

I also learned of a lawsuit designed to detract climate scientists from their work by being called to defend their past (concensus) work by  E&E Legal and Competitive Enterprise Institute

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse from Rhode Island has organized this event and the truth has been flowing at the event for the last two days!

Here are some tweets Desmog.blog has collected from the senators calling out these web of denialists….

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
