Johnson: Everyone was told not to drink the water (house collapse)

Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.39.02 AMIn watching the 4/23/15 CSPAN hydraulic fracturing coverage of a stacked panel of frack loving witnesses, in defense of citizens concerned about Urban Drilling issues (45 minutes into the video) Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson said “last weekend (which would have put the event at 4/18 or 4/19) northwest I think of Ft Worth near Arlington where a family’s house collapsed…the water….and everyone was told not to drink the water”.

Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.40.38 AMWell that statement gave Craddock whiplash to another gal sitting behind her that must also work for the RRC that made me giggle as they both shrugged their shoulders at Johnson’s statement. The consensus on both sides of the fracking issue (Texas Sharon & Craddock) both thought Johnson was confused and was maybe trying to point to the Arlington TX LABC frack water release into Rush Creek.

But this morning on the news there was a WFAA story about a home collapsing into Lake Palestine (following heavy rains). Here is the Tyler Morning Telegraph photo…..

This started happening southeast of the DFW area within the last ten days (April 12 ish).

So I took a look around the area to see what was near that home because a guy who is familiar with the lake area for the last 16 years told WFAA “Geologically, there is something different right there.”Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.05.29 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.07.41 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.08.06 AM Note in above pic all the white padsite dots to the east (15 miles away) is where you can see extensive drilling for fossil fuels. Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.10.19 AMSo I then looked south of the home collapsing and found two separate padsites of which one looks like they are injection wells and the other some kind of gas plant…Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.15.32 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.15.55 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.16.20 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.16.58 AM So then I looked west in Anderson County and found what could be called two sink holes or subsidence…not sure how old these are….Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.19.26 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.19.48 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.20.42 AMNorth of what appears to be the double sinkholes I found more gasplantings…Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.24.18 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.25.02 AM Screen shot 2015-04-24 at 8.26.36 AMThe reason for this blog? Well this isn’t the first time a home fell into one our Texas Lakes and it won’t be the last.

And this isn’t the first time a congressional hearing has biased witnesses…but it can be one of the last…..it is our job to elect congressmen who represent us and not the industry.

And so I will leave you with some artsy fartsy pics of Brownwood Texas (southwest of DFW area where Sawyer Sweeten recently committed suicide) and another possible sinkhole or maybe just a dried up pond? in an area polluted with mankind’s handiwork in what could be frack sand mining?….Please send in your comments to who made this beautiful mess.Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.06.42 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.06.52 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.07.00 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.07.19 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.07.38 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.07.55 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.08.10 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.08.20 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.08.44 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.08.52 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.09.17 PM Screen shot 2015-04-23 at 11.12.34 PM

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
