NUISANCE when we drank frack water = Lake Arlington residents July 2010

Now that our first fracking nuisance suit was won recently….I’d like to go back in time to revisit what a nuisance it was when frack water went into Lake Arlington (our drinking water reservoir) over night. One of the Quick Silver padsites from the FT Worth side had an oopsy when they didn’t close the valve off and the tank overfilled and ran off in unknown amounts into the lake on July 14-15 in 2010.

Seven months later you can see the look on our mayor’s face when he found out about the spill…..priceless….wanna watch it? OK go to this link http://arlingtontx.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=2 then scroll to the afternoon meeting of 2/22/2011 at around 41 minutes into the video when (Meth) Mel (former) councilman asks why our drinking water reservoir was added to a list of protected uses for a 600 ft setback.

Read here of some comments made in 2012 about the sick looking fish caught in Lake Arlington.

Settle down ya’ll the two year statue of limitations has lapsed….oh well…I’m sure your health wasn’t harmed? Wanna learn more about your award winning best TASTE water that you drink here in Arlington? Click here.

About Kim Triolo Feil

Since TX Statute 253.005 forbids drilling in heavily settled municipalities, I unsuccessfully ran for City Council Seat to try to enforce this. Since Urban Drilling, our drinking water has almost tripled for TTHM's. Before moving to Arlington in 1990, I lived in Norco’s “cancer alley”, a refinery town. It was only after Urban Drilling in Arlington did I start having health effects. After our drill site was established closest to my home, the chronic nosebleeds started. I know there are more canaries here in Arlington having reactions to our industrialized airshed (we have 55-60 padsites of gas wells). Come forward and report to me those having health issues especially if you live to the north/northwest of a drill site so I can map your health effects on this blog.
